By Shopping at Disney’s Animal Kingdom offers so many opportunities for unusual items. Since this park has themed lands based in Africa, Asia, and the fictional Pandora, you’ll find cultural offerings that are unavailable anywhere else in the parks!
Additionally, since Animal Kingdom is home to more than 300 species and 5,000 animals, you may find some merchandise highlighting your favorite critter. A few imaginary creatures and cryptids, like Banshees and Yetis, reside at Animal Kingdom, too.
While there are a variety of stands and stores throughout the park, we’ll highlight the best of the best, the ones that you should try to visit when you’re spending a day at Animal Kingdom and want some special souvenirs to commemorate your visit.
Discovery Trading Company
You’ll find gifts galore at this Discovery Island shop. This location has a lot of character themed merchandise and also carries a good supply of holiday ornaments when the season arrives. Riverside Depot is located inside this store, and it has some good snacks, toys, and hats as well.
Island Mercantile
This full-sized store located in Discovery Island sells clothing, accessories, headgear, pins, plush, collectibles, and more! Island Mercantile carries Animal Kingdom themed items as well as animal themed pieces.
Mombasa Marketplace/Ziwani Traders
Located side by side in Africa, these stores feature authentic African imports, including wine, musical instruments, toys, clothing, and animal toys. Ziwani Traders has some good sun-shielding safari hats and even has collectible ostrich eggs!
Mariya’s Souvenirs
Even though The Lion King is one of Disney’s biggest and most beloved movies, merchandise for the film isn’t always that easy to find. Mariya’s Souvenirs, located in the Africa area of the park, has you covered.
Serka Zong Bazaar
We love this shop, which you’ll find as you exit Expedition Everest in the Asia section of the park. You don’t have to ride the roller coaster to enter the store, though! You’ll find Yeti merchandise (our favorite) along with Himalayan and Disney character items.
Windtraders
This shop represents Pandora, and it’s absolutely delightful! They sell Banshee items, both stuffed animals and lifelike shoulder friends. You’ll also find Na’vi cultural artifacts, science kits, and Alpha Centauri Expeditions (ACE) apparel.
Zuri’s Sweets Shop
You can find pre-packaged candies and other sweets here, as well as fresh offerings for a quick snack. These confectionery items are inspired by the sights, sounds, and flavors of Africa. You’ll find this small shop near Kilimanjaro Safaris.
