San Angel Inn Restaurante

Table Service Restaurant located at EPCOT

Disney Meal Pricing: $$

Best For: Twilit Tacos & Tequila

Location

You’ll need to voyage deep into the Mexico Pavilion of the EPCOT World Showcase to find San Angel Inn Restaurante, which sits tucked away at the back of the pavilion’s spectacular Temple.

Inspired by a 17th-century hacienda, with its colonial Mexican tile floors and stucco walls, this charming, hospitable restaurant is friendly and sun-rich in color, but there’s certainly a sense of adventure to be found here.

The whole place overlooks twilit Mayan ruins, with the lush greenery all around that seems to be alive with the calls of tropical birds and wildlife. On the horizon you can spot an erupting volcano, with the distant sounds of mariachi and fiesta coming from the bustling market stalls of the pavilion. It’s a celebration here, and guests are always welcome to dine in the magic!

Depending on the location of your table, you may be able to wave at guests aboard the boats of the Gran Fiesta Tour Starring the Three Caballeros attraction, as they float past your table along the Rio del Tiempo. Be sure to make time to enjoy the attraction yourself after your meal, it’s the perfect way to soak up that Mexican culture!

San Angel Inn Restaurante is open for lunch and dinner services only, but has a full menu of delicious Mexican fare sure to appeal to all ages and tastes. If this sounds like the perfect, Old-World spot to enjoy your meal, read on to learn more about what the menu has to offer….

Menu

I hope you like Mexican food, as San Angel Inn will take you south of the border with their distinct flavors and delicious dishes!

To begin with, you must try the Sopa Azteca – a traditional tortilla soup – or, if you’re all about that dipping lifestyle, you can’t go wrong with some Guacamole, Queso Fundido, or Salsa to start your meal off.

When it comes to entrees, there’s even more to choose from. The Tacos or Enchiladas are certainly going to be great options, with fish, chicken, and steak fillings. If you’re looking for something meaty there’s always that delicious Carne Asada and other specialties including chicken or pork, as well as a few fish dishes, salads, and veggie options.

If you still have room for something sweet, you can opt for desserts such as Tres Leche (milk-soaked sponge cake) and Capirotada (bread pudding), or even the unique Sweet Corn Ice Cream option. However, the icon here is the huge Chocolate “Fiesta” Pyramid, which is a fantastically festive tower of mousse, toffee, and cake, all piled high with ice cream. It’s certainly one to share with friends if you’re celebrating!

To Drink

We’re in Mexico, so you can bet that the signature drinks here at San Angel are going to be fantastic! If you’re a tequila person, there’s plenty of opportunity to sample away, with a cool selection of different Tequila Flights to take. The other option is, of course, the Margaritas, with plenty of divine concoctions available on this menu including unique flavor bases such as cucumber, avocado, and blood orange.

An especially fun beverage to look out for here is the celebrity-endorsed Black Magic Margarita. Created by actor Neil Patrick Harris, this tart, fruity, frozen drink is sure to get the party started!

Of course, other non-specialty alcoholic options can also be ordered here, as well as the usual range of soft drinks and coffees.

Kid-Friendly Options

We’re sure any kiddo is going to approve of the menu at San Angel! Child-size portions of Tacos and Quesadillas both feature among kid’s options here, as well as your more “basic” options of Macaroni & Cheese and Chicken Tenders, with sides including rice, fruit, or veggies. With brownies or ice cream for afters, you know your kids are going to leave happy!

Special Dietary Requirements

Walt Disney World is committed to offering dishes that cater to any kind of special dietary requirements, including allergies. Be sure to ask your server for more information before you place your order, and they’ll be sure to help out!

For vegans and vegetarians, there are lots of tasty options among the regular entrée list at San Angel. This includes delectable options such as Ensaladas (salads) or Huaraches Vegetarianos (fried corn masa), as well as the option to order other items, substituting out the meat/fish where appropriate. Again, be sure to ask your friendly server to discuss your options.

Tips and Need-To-Know Information

  • A lot of the ambience at San Angel Inn comes from the beautiful vista of the Gran Fiesta Tour attraction the restaurant overlooks. Due to the restaurant’s layout, not all tables will directly benefit from this view, however. If this is important to you, be sure to request a “water view” table – it won’t be guaranteed, but is worth the ask!
  • San Angel Inn is actually one of two distinct restaurants in the Mexican pavilion at EPCOT. Its counterpart is La Hacienda de San Angel, which may have a similar name, but offers a different experience all together! Be sure to check which one you’d prefer when booking.
  • Of course, if you’re craving Mexican but would rather not spend money on the Table Service experience, this area of World Showcase offers some great Quick Service options, too. You can visit the outdoor La Cantina de San Angel for tacos and more, and signature Mexican drinks can be found at both La Cava del Tequila and Choza de Margarita. Yum!
  • As with most Table Service dining locations across Walt Disney World, securing an Advanced Dining Reservation is highly encouraged for guests wanting to eat here.
